Field checklist
- Shoot early or late — soft light keeps petal color from blowing out.
- Get low; a slight upward angle often separates bloom from background clutter.
- Watch for pollinators — wait a few minutes on zinnias and sunflowers.
- Focus on the stamen or leading petal edge, then stop down a bit for depth.
- Tag the plant when you can — filenames alone rarely name the flower.
