Field checklist

1. Shoot early or late — soft light keeps petal color from blowing out.
2. Get low; a slight upward angle often separates bloom from background clutter.
3. Watch for pollinators — wait a few minutes on zinnias and sunflowers.
4. Focus on the stamen or leading petal edge, then stop down a bit for depth.
5. Tag the plant when you can — filenames alone rarely name the flower.
