Roseate Spoonbill

A large pink wading bird of coastal wetlands. The flat, spoon-shaped bill is the giveaway — swept side-to-side through shallow water for small fish and crustaceans. An earlier gallery pass had mislabeled a pelican flock as spoonbills; these frames show the real thing.
