Make it easy to read
Once you have a page, make kindness to the reader your next upgrade — not a redesign.
- One clear title at the top.
- Short paragraphs (a few sentences each).
- Headings when the topic shifts.
- The same font and link color on every post.
- A way back to the list of posts.
Shared CSS is enough for that. You do not need a design system. You need a file that says “body text looks like this” and “links look like that,” then include it on every page.
If someone can skim your post on a phone without squinting or getting lost, you are already ahead of most abandoned blog templates.
