String Art Planner

Plan a circular nail-and-thread piece from a geometric weave or a photo. Drag pins to fix alignment, then print the numbered map and weave sequence.

How to use
  1. Choose pin count (start ~72–120). Pins sit on a circle like nails on a board.
  2. For a photo: pick Photo approximate, upload a high-contrast image (face / silhouette works best), then click Weave pattern.
  3. Use the faint photo ghost to check framing. Drag any pin to nudge it. Use Reseat on circle if you want even spacing again.
  4. Hammer real nails matching the numbered pins. Follow the weave sequence (pin → pin). One continuous thread is ideal.
  5. Print or download the map. Turn on Print-safe for black lines on white paper.

Photo mode is an approximation — expect a suggestion, not a perfect portrait. Fewer pins + fewer lines = clearer shapes to start.

Pin map & weave

Drag a pin to move it. Double-click a pin to snap it back onto the circle.
